and so where do i begin? im still smiling to myself everytime i remember the concert last night @ the Araneta Coliseum. it started an hour late. o well that was kinda expected. but when the show began we didnt really mind the delay. james’ very first song was I Want You from the recent All the Lost Souls album. ’twas the first time i heard it really and i loooooove it agad. as in.

the whole repertoire was a combination of the Back to Bedlam album and the recent one mentioned above. the concert wasnt that well-attended for whatever reasons 
there could be, but hey it was worth the watch and im sure everybody present there did have a great, great time. really!

i love it when he spoke with that heavy, heavy brit accent. 
he talked a bit of the songs before singing them. “this next song im gonna play you will make that one sound like a happy one (goodbye my lover) cos this is really miserable.” hehe. he was referring to his next song No Bravery relating it to the time he was in the army.. witnessing life and death. cute niya din magsalita ng tagalog.. maraming salamat, paalam.. hehe.

dont know what song was in the video above but boy! james sure headbanged at the piano =)). the crowd just went wild hehe. ang likot niya galaw ng galaw.. ikot ng ikot except for the really slow ballads of course. there was this one time he surprised everybody by going down to the audience and quickly made his way to the throng of people.. mabilisan lang inikot niya ang oval don sa baba at bumalik din agad sa stage. whew i wasnt able to capture that one, nagpanic kasi di ko napindot record button hehe.
all in all, i wasnt expecting the James that i witnessed last night. seeing him on tv appearances and the videos released, he seemed the serious type. my mistake. he is fun and playful, he has charisma, he is down to earth, he connects with the audience, and undeniably.. without question.. a great, great singer-composer. his voice alone is more than enough to capture my heart

you’ll really be be with the quality of his voice. kahit alang accompaniment maa-appreciate mo talaga. so strong. so solid. so raw. so full of heart. so full of soul. lahat na hahaha!
